Warm weather is bad news for cut flowers, but unless there's a heatwave on the week of your wedding, you probably don't need to worry.

There's not a whole lot else you can do to keep costs low, but choosing foliage, seasonal blooms or cheaper filler flowers like carnations (which Kristine tells us are about to make a big comeback!) will certainly help.

If you're on a seriously tight budget, your florist may be able to create a very basic arch with mostly foliage for closer to €300.

Every florist will have a different fee structure, but roughly speaking, you should set aside around €500 for a simple arch, but the sky's the limit if you want something more elaborate!.

Take the unpredictability of the Irish weather into account when planning your floral arch - if you have a Plan A and Plan B for your ceremony, the arch should work both outdoors and indoors.

Floral arches require quite a bit of construction time, so make sure your venue allows your florist access and adequate time to build the arrangements..This is definitely not a DIY or YouTube tutorial job!
